I used this on my new 1/3hp sump pump. The sump pump outlet is 1-1/2”. I realized that screwing this in, I could only get about one full thread before the check valve bottomed out. The sump pump didn’t have enough room to allow for the 1-1/4” and 1/1/2” threads to fully engage. So, I had to cut the 1-1/4” part off with a hacksaw.
